About VersePath

A place to read the Bible and understand each passage from many angles, in six languages.

What VersePath is

VersePath is a Bible study site. On every page you find the Bible text from an open translation and, around it, layers that help you understand it: a plain-language version, historical context, the original Hebrew or Greek, how each tradition reads it, interesting facts and answers to the most common questions.

Six languages, the same content

All content is published at the same time in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian. Each language uses its own Bible translation and texts written for readers of that language, not machine translations.

No sides taken

Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox Christians, Jews and scholars read the same passage in different ways. VersePath shows these readings side by side, always attributed to those who hold them, without presenting any one as the right answer.

How the content is made

The Bible text is imported from public-domain or openly licensed translations and is not altered. The study layers are produced with AI assistance from sources cited on each page. The details are in How we work and Sources and licenses.
